San Francisco will be having its annual earthquake exercise on April 21, 1982. 1 am coordinating amateur radio involvement in the test. I would like to explore the possibility of setting up a few packet stations in various parts of the city to demonstrate its potential for emergency communications. If you are interested in working on the project, please leave a note in my mailbox on this system. \Golden Gate BBS -- (415) 863-7715}

And I will relay replies, if there are any.

To whom it may concern:

I have another 'sked' with SM5HEV on Sunday, March 21. Jens will be using the call SK5EU which is the club station at the University of Linkoping. We will discuss the state of the 'Softnet' project at the University.

We will try three different frequencies:
at 1500 UT on 14-178MHz
at 1515 UT on 21 .220MHz.
at 1530 UT on 28.470MHz.

We will settle on the frequency that gives the best results but from past experience this is likely to be either 15 or 10 meters because 20 meters is usually very difficult.

Break in on CW if you want to join in the QSO and we will be glad to move up in frequency to the U.S. phone band.
